Planning Commissioner Greg Baka has represented the Tuckahoe District on the Henrico County Planning Commission since 2016 and has served as its Chairman.  He is appointed by the Honorable Patricia S. (“Pat”) O’Bannon, the Henrico County Board of Supervisors member from the Tuckahoe District who has served in her role since first being elected in 1995.   

During his tenure on the Planning Commission, Mr. Baka has advocated for business growth and worked closely with the public including neighborhood groups and homeowner’s associations to engage citizens on land-use issues that impact their daily lives.  The redevelopment projects he has collaborated on include Regency Mall, Ukrop’s Marketplace, Pump & Patterson, and many infill projects.

Mr. Baka serves on the Board of Directors of PlanRVA which provides regional solutions to emergency services, transportation, and environmental issues that don’t stop at the County line.  He previously chaired and served on both the Henrico County Board of Zoning Appeals as an appointee of the Henrico Circuit Court and the Henrico County Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee.  He is a member of and previous conference speaker for the American Planning Association – Virginia Chapter and a former member of the Kingston HOA.
